Emergency Dental

Losing a filling or a crown is not an urgent and immediate dental care. 

Why? 

Because for children and adolescents, their level of discomfort and pain due to missing filling or crown will either be mild to moderate.  

The same is true for adults. 

If, by chance, the pain becomes severe, Tylenol, ibuprofen, or another type of pain reliever can be used. 

In the meantime, it is important to call your dentist, tell them what happened, and make an emergency dental appointment within the next 24-28 hours.

This qualifies this type of dental emergency as non-urgent, but it also means that you do not want to wait to make an appointment. Untreated dental energies can develop into the need for extensive dental care.
